Math IIIB Final Reflective Essay
This class was intermediate algebra. It was about one and two step equations, distribution, box method, F.O.I.L , exponents, and more. The teacher for this class was Vikkie.
My favorite part of the class was doing the warm-ups. I think that was my favorite because it was something new every day and they were fun to figure out. I think my least favorite part of the class would have to be the warm-ups also. The reasoning for that is some warm-ups were difficult and brain teasers.
The things I learned this semester that I didn’t know before are distribution box method, and F.O.I.L. (First, Outer, Inner, Last). Other then that a couple other things we learned were basically a review for me. There wasn’t really anything I wanted to learn that wasn’t taught. I would like to learn a lot more about math but we went over what I felt was good enough for the semester. I like the way Vikkie teaches her math classes. I felt like I learned more from her teaching me then I have when other teachers do. I enjoyed this math class.

1)Equations are how you express a value of a concept, where one or more variables change. The equal sign is what makes it an equation.
2)Construction is a job that uses real world algebra. Construction workers have to
use algebra in construction to figure square footage, and angles when building, or to find the perimeter or area of the site so you know how much materials to get.
